Hi, I’m Mike, a passionate follower of Jesus, a devoted husband to my amazing wife Reyna, and a grateful father to our incredible 3 year old son, Matthew and our dog, Hazel. I have had the privilege of living in Arkansas, Utah, Mexico, and currently in Orange County, California. My life has been a journey of grace—one marked by challenges, victories, and an unwavering faith in God’s goodness.

I am a brain tumor survivor, a testimony to God’s healing power, and someone who has walked through the hardships of a difficult childhood surrounded by gangs, violence, fatherlessness, and drugs. But through it all, God was writing a greater story—one of redemption, transformation, and purpose.

Today, I have the privilege of serving as a shepherding elder at Mariners Church and a young adults and small groups senior coach. I also love investing in the next generation through kids ministry and youth ministry and also teach/preach to our Spanish congregation. My background includes 15 years of ministry experience in pastoral roles such as production, NexGen, Discipleship, Camps, and leader in various other church ministries, including Outreach. I hold a degree in Christian Leadership and Discipleship as well as project management certification from CSUDH. I’m passionate about developing and empowering leaders for Kingdom impact by nurturing and fostering environments where leaders can thrive and make courageous decisions to follow Jesus and equip other leaders.

When I’m not serving, you’ll find me playing or watching sports, enjoying music, or out enjoying some delicious food with my family. I love reading theology, leadership, and culturally relevant books, as well as diving into podcasts that challenge and inspire me. Currently, I’m writing a book and preparing to launch a podcast with my wife—exciting things ahead!

My prayer is that this website becomes a space where faith is deepened, leaders are equipped, and lives are transformed by the power of Jesus. Thanks for being here—I look forward to walking this journey with you!
